Hari ini aku akan sharing salah satu part dalam judul tesisku, yaitu kepemimpinan.
Kalau kita googling, kita akan dapatkan kepemimpinan sebagai proses memengaruhi atau memberi contoh oleh pemimpin kepada pengikutnya dalam upaya mencapai tujuan organisasi (sumber wikipedia). Dari pengertian itu, banyak yang menyimpulkan bahwa kepemimpinan itu hanya wajib untuk supervisor, manager hingga direktur. Tapi menurutku gak demikian. Contohnya adalah wanita ini :
Dia adalah ibu yang menjadi pemimpin bagi anak-anaknya. Dia mendoakan anaknya, memikirkannya, mengajari dan membimbing anaknya. Dia menghabiskan waktu bersama anaknya, untuk memberkati dan menginspirasi.
Apakah dia memiliki jabatan? Tidak.
Apakah ada aturan bahwa dia adalah pemimpin? Tidak.
Apakah dia memiliki gaji yang tinggi? Dibayarpun tidak.
Dia bahkan membayar lebih, lebih tidak dihargai dan menjadi lebih seperti pelayan. Yang dia harapkan adalah duduk di bangku belakang untuk melihat anaknya tumbuh menjadi pria/wanita yg bahagia, dicintai, sukses dan murah hati.
So, kepemimpinan gak sependek seperti wikipedia menurutku. And here is my opinion :
Pemimpin adalah orang yang memiliki pengaruh dalam kehidupan orang lain, dengan jabatan atau tanpa jabatan, dengan aturan atau tanpa aturan. Memberikan pengaruh untuk menjadi lebih baik, lebih bertumbuh, lebih berani bermimpi dan belajar/berusaha lagi menjadi apa yang ingin dicapai.
Seperti quote McGannon, bahwa “leadership is action, not position”.
Dalam salah satu injil Tuhan juga dinyatakan “Jadilah garam dunia”, dimana artinya Tuhan ingin kita memiliki pengaruh yang baik untuk orang-orang disekitar kita.
Sebagai contoh :
- Kamu sebagai desainer, kamu adalah pemimpin bagi pelangganmu dalam menunjukkan karakter produk mereka.
- Kamu sebagai pelayan gereja. Dalam mengikuti Kristus, menjadi pemimpin berarti menjadi pelayan. So merekalah pemimpin gereja.
- Kamu sebagai ayah/ibu, kamu adalah pemimpin untuk keluargamu.
- Kamu sebagai teman. Sikapmu & nasehatmu memiliki pengaruh terhadap temanmu, maka kamu adalah pemimpin juga.
So, kepemimpinan menurutku adalah bagaimana kita berkontribusi, berbagi dan menginspirasi orang-orang disekitar kita.
